So says the Harvard astrophysicist Dr. Avi Loeb who is himself a widely regarded scientist. When someone says “follow the science” and “I believe science” we should remind ourselves that ‘science’ doesn’t speak univocally, scientists with various and diverse opinions speak. Like for example, Soviet scientists, Nazi scientists, or other state funded scientists whose research tends to support what they are getting grant money to study (ok, I couldn’t resist the cynicism).
Avi’s point was in response to criticism he received for even speculating publicly that the anomalies with Oumuamua might suggest that it is something other than a regular asteroid and comet and perhaps could even be extra-terrestrial space junk. I don’t personally believe in extra-terrestrials but inter-dimensionals, which is neither hither nor thither, but a popular scientist is not allowed to utter such non-sense or he will be sent to the intellectual gulags.
To be brief, when asked about there not being evidence for extra-terrestrial life he replied in this interview “If you step on the grass and you say ‘look, it doesn’t grow’ then obviously because you are stepping on it! So, if you bully anyone that works on the subject, then young people don’t enter into the research field, if you don’t fund it at all, you dry it up, then there will not be discoveries!” Then the discussion evolved into how the ego interferes with scientific research. Yes, my friends, scientists are sinners too!
Perhaps this should be our response when those swollen and oozing infection with materialistic science falsely so-called, claim there is NO evidence of intelligent design or young earth creationism. ‘Well, of course, when you have very little research committed to proving the bible and a majority of arrogant scientific bullies standing on the grass so it can’t grow... what do you expect?’ Thou hypocrite!
