For some reason unbelievers and infidels think that this is actually –A. an argument and -B. an argument disproving the bible. Perhaps they thought that it escaped us Christians that men penned scripture. Like for example when the Lord said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: (Ex.17:14) Or when Jesus told John What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches (Rev. 1:11). Yes- we know that men wrote the bible, but thanks!
Think about what scripture is. Prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (2 Pt.1:21) It is God’s word made flesh; holy men speaking by the Holy Ghost. God obviously wanted his word shrouded in human tongues pressed like oil from the olive through holy men. In time past God spoke by the prophets but in these last days by his Son (Heb.1:1-2) who is the Word made flesh (Jn.1:1, 14, 1 Jn.1:1-2). We are to be like Christ and be living epistles (2 Cor.3:2-3) and so conformed into the image of Christ that our opinions are formed with minds renewed in the Holy Ghost. Paul’s judgment and opinion is scripture (1 Cor.7: 6, 8, 10, 12, 25, 40).
God giving his word through men points us to Jesus Christ. For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. (Rom.11:36)
Men wrote the bible!
